HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
Before help arrives, what you know matters.
Royal Life Saving SA delivers first-rate first aid training courses which will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to administer first aid to a person in case of sudden illness or injury in a home, workplace or community setting until professional medical help arrives. Whether you are a parent, work colleague or simply a passer-by, undertaking first aid training will mean you have the confidence and know-how to respond appropriately and minimise harm or even save a life.
COURSE INFORMATION
Course duration and delivery
Provide First Aid is delivered in two formats:
Blended: Completion of an online training module and knowledge assessment, taking approximately 3-4 hours to complete and 4 hour in-class practical training and assessment.
Face to Face: the learning and assessment is conducted fully in person, with no pre-course requirements. The course duration is 7 hours
Course Requirements
The physical ability to complete 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer CPR on an adult manikin placed on the floor and 2 minutes of continuous CPR on an infant manikin.
Minimum age of 14 years old.
In order to complete this course, you must be able to:
Give a clear verbal report of an incident
Understand verbal instructions
Read and understand written instructions
Write an incident report
Certification
On successful completion of the course, students will be provided with a Statement of Attainment that includes the following Units of Competency:
HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
HLTAID010 - Provide basic emergency life support
HLTAID011 - Provide first aid

eLearning and assessments must be completed within 14 days of attending the course.
